As part of the activities of the Department of International Marketing (LMI) of the Polytechnic University of San Luis Potosí (UPSLP), on Friday, June 10th , the award ceremony of the “Brand Activation 2022” was held, which is a hands-on project that forms part of the course “CNOI Personal Sales”, which is taken by second semester students. In this edition, there was the collaboration of Pascual Bottling Company, with the products: Jugos Boing, Mexicola and Lechitas Pascual.
Francisco Javier Delgado Rojas, Rector of the UPSLP; Dr. Francisco Rafael Rostro Contreras, Academic Vice-Rector; Igor León O’Farrill, Director of Administration and Finance; Xóchitl Hernández Velázquez, Coordinator of the LMI Educational Program; Jesús Alderete Zapata and Edith Adriana Jasso, professors of the Microacademy of Sales, which is part of the International Marketing Department, were present. On behalf of Pascual Bottling Company, the following were present: Gonzalo Martínez Jiménez, General Manager of the San Luis Potosí Branch; Melvin Omar Álvarez Oyuela, District I Supervisor; Juan Manuel Cortés Gutiérrez, District II Supervisor; and Alejandra de Jesús González Cortés, in charge of the Handhelds department. Likewise, the participating teams were present accompanied by family and friends.
The Brand Activation was held from April 22nd to May 8th, as a sales contest among 13 teams, with a total of 160 students participating. Previously, the teams received training from the staff of Pascual Bottling Company, during which they were made aware of the sales process, target audience, goal, commissions and support granted by the company. After this training, each team began the work of marketing and sales planning that included the activation of social networks, preparation of advertising material of the different products to be offered, generation of the schedule of activities and proposal of the closing event. The activities were supervised by the faculty of the Microacademy.
The winning teams were awarded economic and in-kind prizes by the sponsoring company, which determined the first three places. On this occasion, and after reviewing the results obtained, the company decided to award a special award to the team that handled the best sales closing.
The results obtained were part of a joint sale of 102,089 pieces, equivalent to 37,110,496 liters, from the application of sales, promotion and distribution activities carried out by the students in a period of 17 days. The winning teams were:
● First Place: LET’S BOING, with 6030.52 liters sold.
● Second Place: ROCKN’BOING, with 4649.352 liters sold, and the second best closing of the activation.
● Third Place: SQUADRON 201, with 4051.08 liters sold.
● Recognition and award for the best closing event: BOINGSBUNNY, with 3402.02 liters sold.
The Polytechnic University of San Luis Potosí recognizes the commitment and effort of the students in this activity and congratulates the winners for the achievement obtained!
