The Polytechnic University of San Luis Potosí (UPSLP) through the Department of Engineering in Telematics – Networks and Telecommunications – (ITEM) held the 4th International Forum of Engineering in Networks, Telecommunications and Telematics on November 16th face-to-face with a focus on the areas of opportunity that Industry 4.0 offers to graduates of the ITEM degree program.

The Forum was organized in conjunction with the Polytechnic University of Durango, Polytechnic University of Querétaro, Polytechnic University of Pachuca, Juventino Rosas Polytechnic University and Polytechnic University of the State of Guerrero, with UPSLP hosting the event. More than 180 students participated.

The objective of the Forum is to provide a space for the academic exchange of knowledge, new lines of research, technological trends, experiences of graduates, job opportunities for students as well as to create awareness of the Department of Engineering in Telematics – Networks and Telecommunications- in the different systems of upper secondary education and of the opportunities to study this degree. Another objective is to promote the joint collaboration of the participating universities through their groups of research faculty graduates, students, student chapters and alliances with companies in the Information and Communication Technologies sector.
