Description:

The Bachelor of Business Administration and Management has as its objective to train professionals with highly competitive management skills who can respond to the challenges that organizations face in uncertain times. Such professionals are able to effectively manage resources and functions using a cutting edge vision to design, evaluate and apply strategies that allow for the innovation or improvement of company processes within a framework of sustainability. Objectives of the Academic Program of the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management

The objectives of the Academic Program of the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management are aimed at strengthening six fundamental aspects in the education of students. These aspects will give students a solid foundation for future success in the workplace.

1)      Mastery of Mathematics and Economics, which are foundational for the profession.

2)      Application of knowledge in the use of technology in administration.

3)      Application of knowledge in business development.

4)      Utilization of information technologies for innovation in administration.

5)      Mastery of English and Spanish with a focus on self-study.

6)      Holistic education of students, which is supported by the institutional tutoring program, a program focused on human development as well as a strong promotion of culture and arts, which will help students make better use of their time and apply other types of learning.

Mission of the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management.

The mission of the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management is to train professionals that are able to integrate into a globally competitive context because of their high level of competence, which includes knowledge, skills, capacities, attitudes and values combined with autonomous learning and collaborative work. These professionals also stand out because of their commitment to improving their environment through social responsibility, leadership and the use of better methodologies, such as quality control, continuous improvement and innovation, in administration and management that can help them to face everyday problems, to always seek to improve the productivity of businesses and organizations, and to improve the quality of life of fellow citizens.

In order to accomplish this, there is a program to monitor academic performance through tutoring, academic consulting, bonding activities, internships, residency projects, social service, applied research projects as well as access to advanced physical and technological infrastructure. In addition, the faculty includes professors with a wealth of experience and expertise who have a background in training and are constantly engaged with students.

The vision of the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management is to leader in the central region of the country in the training of professionals who meet international standards in administration and management and who are also leaders recognized for their creativity, ability to face challenges, innovation, commitment to society, adaptation to change, ability to learn autonomously, their ability to collaborate and solve problems, solid values and professional ethics.

The Bachelor of Business Administration and Management also aims to be a program recognized for its relevant and flexible program of studies that is linked to the social and productive sectors and that also incorporates aspects of innovation and technology in its teaching and learning process. The Bachelor of Business Administration and Management seeks to have a faculty with a prestigious academic profile and that collaborates with both national and international universities.

Educational Model

  • To maintain a high quality and accredited academic program.

  • To promote continuous development through participation in academic residencies, courses, conferences, workshops and doctoral programs with the objective of maintaining a faculty with high level of academic experience and expertise.
  • To encourage the implementation of research projects in collaboration with students and international networks as well as the publication of results.

Research

  • To promote the participation of faculty and students in research activities and projects that are defined by academic program and that involve research topics and institutional concerns focused on the needs of the local area and whose results contribute to the dissemination of knowledge.

Infrastructure

  • To bring together the physical and technological infrastructure necessary to carry out teaching activities, applied research, continuing education and courses to help students and teachers keep up-to-date.
