On Tuesday, November 28th, Dr. Mario Alberto Martínez Rojas, Rector of the Polytechnic University of San Luis Potosí (UPSLP), administered the oath of office to the members of the Liaison Council of the UPSLP. The main objective of this Council is to maintain cooperative relationships, especially with the productive, service, governmental and educational sectors. This, with the purpose of transcending at the state, national and international level in the substantive functions of research, extension, and teaching.

This will allow the UPSLP to enhance the development in its services to the industry and the community, to strengthen the image of the institution, the commitment to society, and additionally, generate resources for its benefit.

Relationship building activities are of great importance in universities and, in particular, contribute to the technological and high-impact development of the different sectors. Therefore, by forming this council, the UPSLP fulfills one of the most important commitments of current public policies and contributes to improving the relationships with the educational, social and economic context.

The Rector thanked the collaborators who are part of the Liaison Council for the commitment demonstrated, which will benefit students, alumni, and the industry, leading to an impact on the economy of our state.
